When did Valentines Day become a ladies-only holiday?

Welcome to our blog at Executive Gift Shoppe. We'll keep you updated on new products from time to time but mostly we'll just be posting on general guy topics. For example....

I'm still waiting for my Valentines Day Gift. Its been 3 weeks now. I sent flowers, treated her to a nice dinner and even surprised her with a nice set of earings. When did this become a holiday for women only? I though maybe I'd get a small token gift at the very least but nothing. Not to self promote, but maybe a nice money clip or a pair of cufflinks? Any other guys have this problem? Any women out there that are different and believe this is a guy's holiday too?
